That's why we began offering workforce development programs in Northeast Ohio more than 20 years ago. Our care considers the whole person, and our work and family service programs are designed to guarantee that everyone's basic needs are met. The Summit County Employment Department has an initiative led by the Akron Urban League in direct partnership with local community agencies. This program is intended to help job seekers refine their interviewing skills and construct a strong resume.

The Akron Urban League provides job seekers with the tools and support they need to achieve successful employment and, ultimately, get quality work with a living wage and benefits. We offer a range of services including resume building, interviewing skills training, job search assistance, career counseling, and more. We also provide access to resources such as job postings, career fairs, workshops, and other events.
